- Fully imported. With this method, you or your supplier measure your windows, and the information is sent to an overseas (China) manufacturer. The manufacturer produces
shutters in the form of a kit, typically including frames and panels/doors, which are then shipped to Australia. Once the shutters arrive in Australia, your supplier will deliver and install them in your home. Some supplier quotes indicate a lead time of 10 to 16 weeks for this method. It’s important to note that the lead time can be significantly affected by global shipping conditions. For instance, during times when China-to-Australia shipping delays occurred, some customers had to wait up to six months. - So called made in Australian. With this method, your windows are measured by you or your supplier, and the information is sent to an Australian manufacturer. The manufacturer creates shutters in the form of a kit, typically containing frames and panels/doors. After completion, your supplier delivers and installs them in your home. Some supplier quotes suggest a lead time of 2 to 4 weeks for this method. It’s worth noting that while shutters are assembled in Australia, the major part of the extrusion manufacturing is not conducted in Australia. Australian manufacturers purchase most extrusion profiles from an overseas (China) manufacturer in advance.
